Nathan Hales M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Hales is a board-certified otolaryngologist with advanced training in head and neck surgical oncology. Originally from Utah and raised in Texas, he completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and earned his medical degree with honors from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Hales has also completed the Focused Practice Designation in Adult Complex Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, reflecting his specialized expertise in these complex procedures. He serves as an Associate Professor at the Uniformed Services University, where he is actively involved in resident education and surgical training.

Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Hales participates in international medical service missions and directs the community’s multidisciplinary head and neck tumor board.  He has a strong commitment to comprehensive adult and pediatric ENT care, with special clinical interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and patient-centered head and neck cancer care.
